Turns out, I'm a horrible blogger. Turns out I have trouble committing to something I start. Turns out that the times are ticking quickly and my productivity is truly prolonging. I am attempting to commit to this blog, to this blogging world. Because I must. Because it also turns out that I am leaving this country. Leaving this life that I have grown fondly of inside of this little glass bubble.
In the beginning of 2011 I will be leaving America for South Africa. I will be leaving basketball for surfing. I will be leaving Ozark Christian College for Son Surf ministries. I will be leaving all of these fantastic relationships that I built, abandoning this community that I have invested three years into. I have recently been accepted to do an internship for a non-profit surfing mission located in Jeffrey's Bay, South Africa. I will be there for 10 months taking classes, being a surfing instructor, leading bible studies, organizing surf contests, managing conferences and events. Working alongside this ministry to learn more about managing, cinematography, media, entrepreneurial services, event organization, project management and more. I will be working across the coastline within the different departments of the organization trying to get a grasp on as many possible aspects of surfing ministry as possible.
Hence, due to my departure I have the desire to be letting those dear to my heart here aware of my life across the seas. I am journeying to the ends of the world to ride an arbor board into sets that may very well by my coffin, than again this collision could very well be the love affair I have been longing to interrupt my life.
